Julie S. Brandon Julie S. Brandon Artist Statement:
Connecting with others is the driving force behind my journey as a visual artist. My art is figurative. I am drawn to human and anthropomorphic forms. Experimenting with subtle gestures, color and words allows me to tell stories. Using fabric as a medium suggests my ideas are tactile. It is an invitation to be touched or embraced. My hope is to evoke an emotional response and make a spiritual connection. Whether fleeting or long term, these connections are the life force I use to build a "relationship quilt" in my heart.
