Julie S. Brandon Julie S. Brandon Artist Statement:
Like a magpie, I have always been drawn to objects with visual texture. My inspiration comes from everywhere. My greatest joy is the challenge of looking at an object and incorporating it into I my art. Experimentation is the spirit that guides me. Rules are to be explored and, sometimes broken. Over the years, I have found myself drawn to the human form. It is a great vehicle for story telling because, no matter how abstract, an audience can relate to it. As a creative explorer, my goal is to continue experimenting with the human form and telling stories through textiles, fiber and found objects.
